Research interests
I started to get an interest in root development during my PhD when I focussed my research on actinorhizal nodule formation under the supervision of Dr. Laurent Laplaze (CERES team, Montpellier, France). I then joined the Centre for Plant Integrative Biology (CPIB, Nottingham, UK) to start working with Prof. Malcolm Bennett on the fundamental aspects of lateral root development from a hormonal and biomechanical point of view.

My interest has now slighty shifted towards how the environment modifies developmental programs to induce new structures, using phosphate as a triggering stimulus. After focussing my studies on the model plant Arabidopsis in the lab of Dr. Laurent Nussaume (LBDP, CEA Cadarache, France), I started my own group in 2015 in Montpellier (BPMP, Montpellier, France) and added a new model, white lupin, because of its striking ability to produce cluster roots.
